School Printing Isn't Just "Smaller Corporate Printing"
Schools, colleges, and training institutes buy print differently from corporate clients — larger volumes at the start of a term, tighter budgets per unit, and a small set of very specific formats that need to survive a full academic year of daily handling. Treating a school order like a generic corporate print job usually means over-paying or under-specifying.
Textbooks & Workbooks
Full-colour or mono, these need durable binding since they get opened hundreds of times a term — perfect binding or saddle stitch depending on page count, printed on 70–90gsm woodfree stock that keeps weight (and shipping cost) down without feeling flimsy.
Exercise Books & Copy Books
Ruled, squared, or plain — the format matters more than the finish here. These are typically ordered in bulk ahead of a term and don't need premium stocks; the print quality that matters is a properly registered rule grid, not lamination.
Examination Answer Booklets
A different job entirely — sequential numbering and a clean, secure saddle-stitch or stapled format matter more than anything else, often printed with the institution's letterhead on the cover for exam-hall accountability.
School Diaries & Student Planners
Distinct from a corporate diary — these need a school crest, term calendar pages, and a cover durable enough to survive a school bag for a year. Rexine and PU leather covers hold up considerably better than laminated board for this specific use case.
Planning Ahead of Term Start
The single biggest mistake in institutional print orders is starting the conversation too close to term start — textbook and diary runs need lead time for proofing and binding that a business card order doesn't. Talk to us 6–8 weeks ahead of the academic year if the order includes anything case-bound.
We print for schools and institutes across the UAE on the same offset and digital presses we use for corporate work — see our school & book printing range or request a quote with your title list and quantities.
